Identifying Faulty Systems In Your Business

If you have been stuck in the same was of operating your business for any length of time, you are probably not growing as fast as you would like. Sometimes, as business owners we need to evaluate all aspects of our business with a critical eye and that may involve re-thinking some of the systems you currently have in place.
So where do you begin? Should you hire a consultant to have a fresh pair of eyes to look at your business systems objectively. Well, that is one solution that you normally see taking place in big business or corporate America.

If hiring an efficiency expert is not in your budget, then I recommend you start somewhere. Possibly, with yourself? So today I have some questions for you to ponder. Here goes….

1. Are you utilizing a time management system that works for you?
2. Are there tasks or processes you are currently doing that can be automated with software?
3. Are there any lower level tasks that you are not currently outsourcing?
4. Are you having to turn away new clients because you do not have enough hours in the day?
5. Are you setting up processes and systems in your business and documenting them via screen capture, video, pdf's and/or handbooks and employee manuals? (I call this the franchise approach to setting up systems.)
6. Do you have a system in place to automate referrals, lead generation and up sells, cross sells and more to existing clients?

Healthy systems always start at the top and trickle down. So don't expect your employees to have great systems unless you are first testing out systems yourself.

Today, there is a great webinar that I plan to tune into with Beth Schneider , Process Prodigy guru. Go check out her site and I highly recommend you sign up for her newsletter and take one of her classes. So get your systems in place and remember, work smarter, not harder and spend more time on holiday.

Here is the link to sign up for Beth's free webinar, called Five Strategies of the Ultra Successful . See you on the webinar later today.
