New Facebook Apps To Promote Ecommerce Stores

I am seeing a trend with Facebook app developments that seems to promote selling physical products on Facebook. I think this is great for ecommerce store owners as they can leverage the millions of  new people joining Facebook every day. Not to mentions the milions of potential customers already there participating in segmented conversations.

I would love to get some feedback from others, what apps are you using and why? I discovered one that I plan to implement called Payvment that is on my to do list. Is anyone using this one in particular? What do you like about it? What do you not like about it? Was it easy to implement?

Get Er Done! In The Next 2 Weeks? Take Action, Make Money!

What is the most important thing you must get done in the next 2 weeks?
What are the action items or steps to get that done?
Do you need to research this?
Where can you find resources on this topic?
Did you “google” it?
What are the questions you have regarding implementation?
Have you asked these questions in the appropriate StomperNet forum? Have you reviewed the bios of the Faculty and selected an expert Faculty member to ask your questions to? Schedule that FOH on your calendar to be sure you don’t miss out on answering your question LIVE on FOH?
After you have gathered the data from your questions, now it is time to develop a “plan of action” or blueprint to start your project.
Continue to refine the processes and systems to accomplish the goal. Continue to implement and ask questions when you hit a roadblock by tapping the new found resources.
Set a dead line for completing the goal or project.
If technology is the bottleneck and getting in the way of implementing, then consider leveraging by writing a job description or “role description” for the tasks that you are unable to get done.
I am constantly asking myself:
What the tasks are? What the skills are?
Who are the people? ….to keep me on track.
As a business owner, the buck stops with me and I cannot afford to drop the ball or delay the project just because I am lacking the skills. It is up to me to keep the ball rolling from start to finish.
*** Hope this helps to keep you moving forward in building your business. Comments are welcome. Let’s discuss this and get a number of opinions on what works for you!

Slickr Flickr WordPress PlugIn Integrates Blogging and Photo Tagging

A friend of mine developed a brilliant new WordPress Plug-in called Slickr Flickr. Catchy name and useful too. Here is an abbreviated run down on how to use this plugin:

The Flickr show is inserted into a post or a widget using the slickr-flickr short code

For example to show my pictures from Flickr that have been tagged with "bahamas" I would use : [slickr-flickr tag="bahamas"]

The Slickr Flickr Attributes (Parameters) are

* tag – identifies what photos to display
* id – the Flickr ID of the user
* group – set to 'y' if the Flickr id belongs to a group and not a user (default is n)
* items – maximum number photos to display in the gallery or slideshow (default is 20)
* type – gallery or slideshow (default is gallery)
* orientation – landscape or portrait (default is landscape)
* size – small, medium, large or original (default is medium) – for best results only use large or originals with galleries
* captions – whether captions are on or off (default is on)
* delay – delay in seconds between each image in the slide show (default is 5)
* start – number of the first slide or 'random' for a random start (default is 1)

Try it and let me know what you think and if you would like more information on this new WordPress plugin please visit my friends, Russell and Liz Jamieson, the WordPress experts.

If You Build It They Will Come

One of my favorite movies of all times is "Field of Dreams" with Kevin Cossner, possibly because it is about baseball and also because the cards were stacked against the chances of his dream becoming a reality but the hero succeeded in the end.

I just love the underdog stories, possibly because it parallels my own life.

And how does this reference internet marketing you may ask? So many people start out with a dream to make millions in internet marketing and thus the dream quest of how to do it. Today, there is a lot of noise in the marketplace about how to do it and yes, they all come with a price tag of buying a product, system, coaching, webinar, membership and etc.
A newbie can literally follow many paths and spend thousands of dollars before making a dollar. The end result is that some of them will throw in the towel after running up thousands of dollars on their credit card.

Sheepishly I must admit, early on I made some of these same mistakes ( as I started off with Stores Online), but I learned from them quickly. Yes, I may have entered a few market where I made very little and wasted some time and energy. Others markets were profitable. The profitable markets were discovered by doing in depth market analysis and keyword and keyword competition research. So you'll always hear me say that keyword research is the cornerstone of internet marketing. I learned this from being a Stompernet member. I applied what I learned and made money. Wash, rinse and repeat. Then I did it again in other markets.

You can never argue with someone else's experience or testimonial. Maybe you did not have the same experience or success story as mine. And that brings to my mind a question? Why? Why me? Why can I have success and maybe someone else with the same information fail or be less successful? What is the real difference? It could be a number of things so here are some bullet points I would like to share:

1. learning the basics
2. basic html and computer skills
3. knowing the terminology
4. levering the knowledge of other people
5. not doing everything yourself
6. mastermind with people who have already done it
7. invest in a professional looking web site
8. test elements of the website to improve conversion
9. get back links from hundreds of places
10. analyze where your traffic is coming from and how it converts
11. analyze where your competition's traffic is coming from and how it converts
12. have multiple marketing channels other that just SEO
13. test keywords with PPC and stay within your budget
14. track keywords to the shopping cart
15. get to a number one position in Google for the keywords that convert to sales
16. leverage on page linking and interior linking from testing results
17. have a schedule for checking for broken links, 404 errors and problems with your site map
18. use Google Webmaster Tools and other software to identify problems and fix them
19. make sales projections based on last year's seasonal trends and set goals to beat last year's sales
20. read and understand Google's terms of service and stay abreast of Google's change in algorithms
21. realize that with growth comes leverage and you can't do it all so invest in hiring others that have better skills than you to get the jobs done that are falling by the wayside
22. outsource link building when you can
23. connect with like minded people and meet with once or twice a month to bounce your questions and ideas off of
24. find new ways to automate or discover new processes to eliminate wasted time
25. have regular planning meeting with your team
26. survey your customers
27. if you are not moving forward, hire a internet marketing coach
27. remember it is not always what you think, but most importantly….how the customer responds

There are probably hundreds or thousands of things I could add to this list so please jump right in, seasoned veterans and let's give some good solid business advice to those entrepreneurs that are just getting started building their Field of Dreams, by adding your comments.

The statement, "If You Build It, They Will Come" is only true in the movies, not internet marketing. There is much work to do after the website is done and it is the responsibility of the business owner to get it done. I have seen a number of new people just getting started in internet marketing have the mindset that it is up to their web developer to build the site and if no one buys or they don't have traffic then they just got a bad developer. The developers job it to build it and it is the business owners responsibility to drive traffic and increase conversions and optimize it and yes, even upload products, write sales copy, product descriptions and all page content.

So I would like to close today's post by saying that I am just an average and ordinary person with an extraordinary desire to achieve my dreams and although this internet marketing journey has not been easy, I hope to share some of my experiences that will help you, the reader get from point A to point B faster.

Cheers,

Joyce Brister

Get Live Streaming of Upcoming StomperNet Live 9 Event

People always express disappointment to be when they miss a Stompernet Live event. I have heard that in the voices of a few people this week already as they say, "I really, wish I could go. I hate that I have to miss it this year."

Then they say, … please come back and tell me all about it. Well, the solution has just been announced today from CEO, Brad Fallon….read on:

Subject: Wow, Is Brad Fallon Off His Rocker?

Brad Fallon's got StomperNet LIVE 9 this weekend.

And I was surprised he was offering a live feed
of all the presentations and breakouts in the main ballroom.

Now he's gone off the deep end. He's giving away
stuff that you just don't see people give away.

First of all, the stream from the LIVE 9 main ballroom
is available for an astoundingly low price. And now
he sweetens the pot even further with these additional
no charge bonuses for you:

* >> Exclusive LIVE Streaming Bonus: One month
of StomperNet membership and access to all
StomperNet Marketing Tools for a full month.
You get all the same content and support that
each StomperNet member benefits from on a daily basis.

* >> NEW Exclusive LIVE Streaming Bonus:
You'll have access to not only the live stream,
but a full 90 days of access to the StomperNet portal
where the stream will be hosted. You'll be able to see
all the keynotes and breakout sessions in the
main ballroom AND once they get posted,
all the other breakouts that won't be streamed live
(5 breakouts per session, twice each day).
That's access to 20 or more sessions and
you have 90 days to watch!

* >> NEW Exclusive LIVE Streaming Bonus:
Darryl Peddle , the former head of
SEO for Yahoo! Canada, will be posting
a special webinar exclusive for LIVE Streaming viewers
about his Competitive Intelligence program.
It'll be an interactive event that will be open
to your questions. This will happen about
10 days after Live 9, so you'll have plenty
of time to absorb everything from the event.

https://stompernet.infusionsoft.com/go/SNL9S/joyceb

Remember, this is all in addition to the
opportunity to see and hear everything
that happens in LIVE 9's main ballroom
on an exclusive live stream presented by
Streamhoster, one of the most trusted
streaming service providers available.

Brad admits that giving away so much
traffic-generating, revenue-creating,
business-building information is a
pretty unique thing to do.

But while admitting that some may think
it's kind of stupid, Brad pointed out,
"Is layering on tons of value and making
the best event in internet marketing even
more affordable for those eager to
succeed online actually kind of smart?"

While I don't know the answer to that,
I do know it's to your benefit.

After all, if you're even remotely serious
about succeeding in internet marketing,
signing up for the LIVE stream is an
absolute no brainer for you.

But the StomperNet folks tell me that
they only have a limited number of
spots available on the LIVE stream.
So don't delay. Claim your spot, and
all the bonuses that go with it, right now.

By the way, there's one more bonus
as well. And it's kind of fun. Go to the
LIVE stream registration page right now
and check it out.

Get Over The Fear of Writing and Just Do It

Some articles written for Hub pages or Squidoo pages, require longer word counts. For these types, in addition to TPMS, you may want to consider using an outline method to organize your ideas and logic of how the content is presented. Having an outline allows you to begin with the end in mind and work backwards to expand on your message. Again, the school teacher comes out in me to talk about this but it really does work!

The key to the whole article writing thing is to get over your fear and DO IT every day! Put at least a 30 minute time slot on your calendar for writing and schedule it during a time when you seem to be most creative. Don't schedule it at the end of the day when you have no more wind left in your sail.

Follow this TPMS method to get you over your writer’s block or spend $50 to get some ideas through outsourcing content. After you’ve written and submitted one or two articles, the next several hundred will become no sweat and you’ll never have to write another one yourself as you’ll be using your many outsourced contacts that you’ll have hired due to your successful business.
