I can feel it coming on, the stress bug. It just bit me. The symptons include a tightening feeling in my back and neck and the diminished ability to concentrate.

Here are 12 suggestions that have worked for me.

1. Walk my dog (Nattie) and get out of the office, off the phone and away from the computer.
2. Keep a journal or a blog to get things off my chest.
3. Listen to music.
4. Phone a friend.
5. Exercise or work in my garden.
6. Pamper myself.
7. Go out to eat or have a candlelight dinner at home.
8. Change the lighting in my office, open my curtains or open my window.
9. Kiss my spouse or a hug will do. Or both is better.
10. Plan my next get-a-way (vacation).
11. Look through my family photo albums.
12. Pay a compliment to as many deserving people as I can.

So, if you feel the stress coming on feel free to try any of the above. Jump right in and comment on what you do, to soothe your stress, so that we can all say goodbye to stress forever and be more productive.
